Lee Canyon, NV: Nestled at the base of Mt. Charleston and only 45 minutes driving from the Las Vegas strip. Many visitors to Sin City are surprised to hear a ski resort thrives in the desert. Next time you need a break from the slots (or heat) escape to Lee Canyon’s 30 runs 3 lifts and 70 acres of terrain.

Liberty Mountain

Liberty Snowflex, VA: Located on a Christian University in Virginia, few people would expect to find a world class ski training facility. The patented surface at Liberty is the most advanced and responsive ski dry slope in the world. Athletes come year-round to tackle the rails, boxes and jumps in Snowflexs 3 jump options and 40 terrain features.

Ski Apache, NM: The Southernmost ski area in the United States is also a pretty awesome place to find powder. While Ski Apache is known for favorable winter weather it does also have good terrain and great views.  This resort is the only in New Mexico with a gondola and views of the White Sands. The only area run by a Native American Tribe Ski Apache has 55 runs 11 lifts and 750 acres.

Echo Mountain, CO: As the closest ski resort to Denver visiting Echo Mountain makes a day in the mountains a breeze. After laying dormant for decades a revival of Echo in 2005 opened up 60 acres 2 lifts and 8 runs.
