Bulldozers and plows are currently digging away at what park officials call, ‘The Big Drift.’ Normally the drift ranges between 60-80′ on an average year and this one is no different.

“We are getting our first looks at the Big Drift. The Big Drift is the large wind-blown snowdrift that packs in over the road, just east of Logan Pass. It’s usually somewhere between 60-80 feet deep, regardless of what kind of snowpack we have had. It looks about normal this year.” – Glacier National Park

*Going-To-The-Sun Road usually opens sometime in late June or early July.
