But thanks to Richard Hendrix and Pied Piper coin, everyone and their mother seems to understand the crypto-currency implications associated with blockchain technology… Sure. Funny as it may seem, a Latvian based social media plaform, ASKfm is giving Mike Judge’s story-telling a run for its money.

ASKfm just placed $50k worth of its own crypto atop Mount Everest to debut its own Initial Coin Offering (ICO). The Latvia-based tech firm and crypto player had a team of 4 mountaineers climb the world’s tallest peak to hide a package that includes 50,000 AKSfm tokens in a hardware wallet. It’s pretty obvious from the video where exactly the crypto is stashed and it’s up to someone, anyone to go grab it.

Dinesh and Gilfoyle climbing Mount Everest to debut Piper Coin– now that’s good TV.

Gotta give it to these climbers for risking it all to place $50k on top of Everest. According to Outside, one of the climbers apparently got pretty serious frostbite on his descent and needed to be scooped by a heli and taken off the mountain.

These guys sure love crypto…
