Another White House ceremony dedicated to American athletes will be severely under-attended this week thanks to the guy occupying the main bedroom at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

A report from the Guardian indicates that approximately 60+ US Olympians will skip their visit to protest Donald Trump and his administration’s stances on everything from immigration to LGBT rights. Notable absences include alpine ski racing powerhouses Lindsey Vonn and Mikaela Shiffrin as well as the two first openly gay winter olympians, Gus Kenworthy and Adam Rippon.

Kenworthy has been adamant and forthright in his criticism of the president and vice president, having said he would not accept an invitation from someone opposed to sexual equality and LGBT rights.

Vonn and Shiffrin also said they would refuse an invite, likely because of the president’s inclination to deride females verbally. Such as being caught on tape saying that because he’s a “star” he can “grab” any woman, “by the pussy.”
