Authorities have said that nobody was injured or killed in the fire but that the interior of the building did sustain significant damage.  The base area lodge regularly hosts live music and is a go-to for those looking to put on their boots before spending their day skiing.

The lodge is perfectly positioned next to the Challenger Lift and has served as the main lodge at the base of the ski area for the past decade. So far there’s no word as to what might have started the fire. We will update this story as more information becomes available.
