Kirkwood, CA was forced to close yesterday due to a massive rain event that created a river of water running down the hill. The resort was able to reopen today.

@HeavenlyMtn we are going to close for the day at this time. HVMountain operations teams will continue to work towards tomorrows opening bell through the day and throughout the night. They/we have a lot to do over the next 12hrs and will do everything in their power to be ready for tomorrow’s opening… #TrustTheMenInBlack
@KirkwoodMtn we have closed chairs 1,2,3,4,9,10, and 11 for the day. Chairs, 5,6, and 7 will be on-hold, with the KWMountain team reassessing at Noon. KWMountain operations teams will continue to work towards tomorrows opening bell through the day and throughout the night.
