According to a report in the Metro,  A 22-year-old British man is believed to have frozen to death at the French ski resort, Risoul.

Owen Lewis was last seen drinking by himself at Yeti Cave (La Grotte du Yeti) in the early hours on Tuesday. The bar and restaurant is hugely popular with a young, international après ski crowd, and it is open until 2am.

His disappearance was reported on Tuesday afternoon, after family members and friends were unable to contact him by phone. Lewis’ friends were to join him that day in Rioul.

‘The victim’s body was found by a mountain stream, and footprints pointed to him getting lost, and then freezing in the snow. However, an enquiry into exactly what happened is ongoing.’ Said an investigating source.

His accommodation in Risoul was just a few hundred yards from the Yeti but it is thought he took a wrong turn.
