(December 7, 2017), Teton Village, WY ––With 139 inches of total snowfall season to date Jackson Hole Mountain Resort (JHMR) is pleased to announce the Aerial Tram will open for the season this Saturday, December 9th.   With the addition of Big Red skiers and riders will enjoy the full 4,139 vertical feet of terrain at JHMR.

Jackson Hole athlete Jess McMillan finds some turns on the upper mountain.  The Aerial Tram opens to skiers and riders for the season this Saturday.

With the last storm cycle dropping over a foot of snow on the upper mountain, Jackson Hole is leading the Rocky Mountain region in snow fall. “The conditions on the upper mountain are fantastic.  We were able to open Sublette chair and the Headwall last weekend, and adding the Tram this weekend will really open up the possibilities for skiers and riders,” stated Vice President of Operations, Tim Mason.   “The way this season has lined up, we have put our new expanded snowmaking system to work on the lower mountain, and on Saturday Gros Ventre run will open all the way to the base area,” added Mason.

JH Sports and Teton County Search and Rescue (TCSAR) are excited to host the 2nd annual ‘Winter Welcome’ event to kick off the 2017/18 season.  On December 16th, JH Sports is partnering with Teton County Search and Rescue to raise money for the organization’s year round efforts protecting locals and visitors of Jackson. Click here for more details.
