Northeastern Oregon’s Spout Springs will remain closed this winter in what will be its second year as an idle ski area reports The Observer.

The mom-and-pop ski hill is currently for sale with an asking price of $1,200,000. The ski area was purchased some 19 years prior by Nancy and John Murray but as of late, the patriarch’s health has begun to worsen, forcing them closer to Portland while the ski area sits unoccupied.

Last year, the resort was closed due to a dispute between the owners, snowmobilers, and the US Forest Service. While closed, the huge winter in the PNW damaged on of its two pivotal chairlifts, causing the ski hill to remain shuttered for the 2017/2018 winter season.
