WARNING: Arc’teryx Recalls 4,400 Ski Mountaineering Boots

Heads up to all you ski mountaineers, if you bought a pair of Arc’teryx Procline boots you need to stop wearing them immediately or risk serious injury.  Consumer Affairs reports they have received 18 reports of the axis pin located at the rear of the boot dislodging, resulting in damage to the boot and posing a fall hazard. No injuries have been reported from the flaw.

THE RECALL IS FOR Arc’teryx Procline ski mountaineering boots In the following models:

*Only the models of boots listed above that do not have a colored dot on the inside of the spoiler (the upper portion of the rear of the boot) are included in the recall.

WHAT TO DO IF YOU OWN A PAIR OF THESE BOOTS:

Immediately stop using the recalled boots and return them to an authorized Arc’teryx dealer for a free repair.
