A couple of skiers who parked overnight at Mammoth on the 4th of July had quite a surprise in the morning when they found their Mercedes shredded and defecated in by a bear. ABC7 reports David Herndon and his wife left the Mercedes unlocked and parked sideways on a slope overnight.  The bear opened the uphill passenger door and apparently gravity closed the door behind itself, trapping him inside.

The bear flipped out and destroyed the interior, tearing up the seats, chewing through the steering wheel and taking a bear sized #2.  The bear was eventually able to escape the car on his own.

Mechanically, the car was fine. It started right up and Herndon duct taped the rearview mirror in place and had a friend, who volunteered, drive the bear sh*t wreaking Merc five hours to get home. Gnarly.
