Nature’s proverbial call can be difficult to answer in the middle of a snowy landscape. You either squat with your skis on and risk getting brown wax on your bases or you hold it and pray to god there’s not a downhill disaster just waiting to happen. Fabio Studer figured out how to remedy these situations by fashioning a ‘backcountry toilet’ using only his skis and avy shovel. Seems as though you could also do some stability tests while dropping a hot and heavy.
