State regulators ruled this week Ski Granby Ranch was not in violation of Colorado laws before a woman tragically fell to her death from the Quickdraw chairlift at the resort back in December 2016. Investigators determined an electric drive malfunction was the source of the rare dynamic event.

Although the state safety board found specific safety violations at the ski resort, a month later they say the resort did not break the law. A bit of mixed message from the state? What do you think?
