Lets hope you are already up in the mountains and don’t have to the fight the spring breaker traffic combined with sloppy snow/rain conditions.

Colorado Department of Transportation I-70 Mountain Corridor Manager Patrick Chavez spoke with The Denver Post about weekend highway conditions:

“As we start to wrap up spring break vacations, we expect to see heavier eastbound traffic throughout the day on Saturday and Sunday. March snow storms tend to leave like a lion rather than a lamb, meaning we expect to see heavier, wetter snow that will leave the roads icy. We anticipate heavy congestion as a result of the winter conditions and strongly urge motorists to be aware of the changing weather and adjust their driving to match conditions.”

Enjoy the spring snow and have fun out there Colorado skiers and snowboarders.  Be patient and stay safe on the roads. Happy April!
