screen-shot-2017-01-11-at-12-03-31-pmArapahoe Basin will remain closed until the Colorado Department of Transportation finishes avalanche mitigation work on Loveland Pass as reported by News 9.  They closed down operations yesterday at 1pm over concerns of avalanche danger on the “notoriously dicey pass.”

A-Basin joins the club of Colorado resorts with too much snow to operate with Crested Butte and Monarch Mountain.  Summit County is on pace for its best January snowfall in 100 years.

CDOT tweeted earlier this morning that it would close US 6 over Loveland Pass for “an extended period” for avalanche mitigation operations. If you are looking for the most up to date info, I would suggest you keep an eye on CDOT’s twitter page HEREscreen-shot-2017-01-11-at-12-09-41-pmski-area-closed-update2
