Whistler Ski AreaA 27-year-old snowboarder is dead following an accident at Whistler Blackcomb ski resort in B.C., Canada. The incident occurred yesterday just 3 days after the resort opened for the 2016 -2017 ski season. 

Details of the accident have not yet been released, but it has been reported that the male snowboarder was  found unresponsive in a gladed area near the Arthur’s Choice run at Blackcomb.

Members of the public performed CPR before Blackcomb ski patrol arrived at 12:15pm. He was pronounced dead at 1:17pm.

Canadian police are investigating the death and more information will be provided this week.

Whistler Blackcomb has seen 82″ (6.75′) of snow in the past  7 days.
