While perennial first chair goer, Nate Dogggg with 4g’s was absent from the festivities, 4 of his staff were on hand to break through the banner this morning at Arapahoe Basin in his place. Ultimately, Zach Griffin, Seth Hill, Tom Miller, and Justin Smith claimed the first chair of the 2016-2017 North American ski season.

So far, people are saying the snow conditions are unbelievable for this time of year and mountain operations were happy to have had a productive night of snowmaking and grooming leading up to the opening. Currently the only open run is High Noon and the only open lift is the Black Mountain Express.
