The National Park Service is in desperate need of money to address a massive backlog of maintenance projects. How much? $12 billion$6 billion alone would be dedicated to long overdue improvements to the paved road infrastructure.

Congress has given the NPS an extra $90 million for 2016 but clearly more money is need and the NPS is considering corporate sponsorships to cover the difference. According to Time the NPS is already examining partnerships with some corporate heavy hitters including with Anheuser-Busch InBev, American Express and Subaru.

It may have gone mostly unnoticed but cooperate partnerships are already in effect with the NPS but on a small scale. Last year Anheuser-Busch kicked in $2.4 million to the NPS. Also the NPS started allowing corporate logos on their vehicles which could lead to branding deal with companies like Subaru.
