While ski towns across the country struggle with a daunting housing crunch, one community is offering its residents unprecedented affordable housing.

According to Multi-Housing NewsOverland Property Group LLC has teamed up with the Yampa Valley Housing Authority to provide low-income residents with $16 million worth of affordable housing by April of 2017.

Named, The Reserves, the new housing complex will provide 48 units for low-income families based in Steamboat. In an interview with MHN, Enterprise’s SVP of syndication, Raoul Moore told one reporter, “The Reserves at Steamboat Springs will provide residents with new, quality affordable homes connected to transportation in a high-cost resort area that is close to downtown shops and services.”

So far, reports indicate that the complex will consist of two buildings made up of 2-3 bedroom units. Monthly rent will range between $615-$1,107/month and the complex will include a fitness center, community room, computer center, basketball court, and patio with a firepit.
