From the Maldives to the Salomon Islands, rising sea levels are a visible reality.

“There’s a handful of key things that are going to affecting people in the coming decades. Highest priority one is sea level rise, which is anticipated to be rising by at least 50cm over the next century”Simon Albert, Civil Engineer at The University of Queensland

Already, a village on the Salomon Islands has been been lost to rising seas and according to research recently published by Environmental Research Letters, it’s only getting worse. The study was completed in order to anticipate future community relocations due to climate change.
