Watch: Due To Warm Temperatures, Snow Was Delivered By Train To The Iditarod Start

That’s right. Anchorage, which is usually up to its neck in snow by this time of year doesn’t have enough snow for the ceremonial start to the world famous Iditarod sled-dog race. So in order to remedy the situation, race officials utilized trains to bring in tons upon tons of snow from Fairbanks to get the race going.
