If you have never been to Valparaíso, Chile it is worth a trip. Hopefully you can use it as a jump off point to go riding in the Andes but the historic shipping hub of the west coast of South America is stand alone worth a visit.

The streets are so steep in the city, there is a system of cable cars so you can avoid walking up and down vertical blocks of steps. Coincidently it makes the perfect venue for urban downhill biking. This is Nicolás Rodriguez’s final run in Valparaíso, Chile’s “Cerro Abajo”downhill race….roughly translated “Top to Bottom.”
