NOAA: Another Foot Of Snow For Grand Targhee In The Next Two Days | 222″ On The Season

In the last 48 hours, Grand Targhee Resort received 17″ and as of now, forecasts are calling for an additional foot of snow over the course of the next two days. Currently, a winter weather advisory is in effect for the western slope of the Tetons and the days after MLK will have many ski bums out of their respective jobs and crushing powder this upcoming week.

So far Grand Targhee has received 222″ so far this season!

…WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 PM MST THIS AFTERNOON…

* TIMING…SNOW WILL CONTINUE TO INCREASE EARLY THIS MORNING WITH THE HEAVIEST SNOW EXPECTED FROM AROUND SUNRISE THIS MORNING THROUGH EARLY THIS AFTERNOON. SNOW WILL TAPER OFF LATE THIS AFTERNOON.

* SNOWFALL AMOUNTS…2 TO 3 INCHES OF SNOW HAS FALLEN SO FAR IN THE TETON RANGE AND THE SOUTHWEST PORTION OF YELLOWSTONE PARK. A TOTAL OF 7 TO 12 INCHES IS EXPECTED IN THE TETONS AND SOUTHWEST PORTION OF YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK. THE REST OF THE PARK WILL SEE SNOWFALL OF 2 TO 6 INCHES.

* OTHER IMPACTS…MOUNTAIN TOP WIND SPEEDS WILL BE 25 TO 40 MPH WITH HIGHER GUSTS. TETON PASS MAY SEE HAZARDOUS TRAVEL AT TIMES FOR THE THIS MORNINGS COMMUTE.
