Tales from the Masikryong ski resort (also known as Masik Pass Ski Resort) in North Korea are surrounded in infamy.

From Kim Jon-un killing his uncle because he disagreed with the reasoning behind the resort’s development, to requesting “mandatory donations” from Sports Ministry Officials, the North Korean dictator’s snowy brainchild has come under heavy scrutiny from media sources across the globe excluding the state controlled North Korean press. In order to remedy that appearance, Kim Jong-un’s regime has extended invitations to Snowboard icons Terje HÃ¥konsen,Mike Ravelson, and Dan “Danimals” Liedahl in an attempt to highlight the growing snow sports industry in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.

According to theguardian.com, the three snowboarders will travel to North Korea with Snowboarder Magazine to check out and chronicle Kim Jong’s brand new shred spot. Other tourists will also be allowed to get out for a rip and see what the mountain has to offer.

In a press release, Snowboarder Magazine commented on the upcoming trip saying, “The riders are really excited about it. These guys have a sense of adventure and they’re always down to go to far flung locales so they were eager to ride Masik Pass.”

Although Kim Jong-un has claimed to have already cured AIDS and Ebola, it is yet to be seen whether he can control the weather and bring these three iconic shredders powder conditions during their entire stay in the DPRK.

Time to burn some skis Kim Jong-un!
