Richmond, UTAH: Hundreds of eager skier and snowboarders came out for the inaugural day of Utah’s newest ski resort, Cherry Peak. The 240 acre resort planned on opening last year but the addition of an extra level on the lodge to allow for large parties and weddings delayed the opening. “We really wanted to be open for last year, but everything just took more time than we anticipated,” said Kim Chadwick, co-owner and events coordinator for Cherry Peak Ski Resort “There’s a lot that goes into getting ready to open a ski resort.” The resort will be open Monday through Friday from 9am to 9pm.
