There are a ton of reasons to love Squaw Valley and the resort’s treatment of service men and women is up there with the best of them. Squaw’s own founding father, Alex Cushing, served in the Navy retiring as a lieutenant commander. After he started up the resort, he never forgot to take care of those who take care of us.

Now Squaw is starting a new tradition for those active duty military who come to ride the resort with the exchange of challenge coins.

Very cool. I hope the ones the they get in exchange are displayed prominently. Happy Veterans Day!
