Driving to and from mountains in adverse road conditions is a fact of life for alpine enthusiasts so what can we learn from a situation like this. What is your best course of action if you are in the middle of a pileup like this? Do you try to bank it as high and away from the road and exit your vehicle? Do you stay in your vehicle with your seatbelt on?

“Please don’t criticize the filming. I started filming before there were any wrecks that I was aware of. I was going to film for just a few seconds so that I could send it to my husband as he was curious about the weather. As I was filming, the wreck started. I didn’t move the phone much because I was in shock watching all the trucks coming. I wasn’t worried about how the phone was positioned because I was caught up in the reality of the moment. So my apologies for the poor filming.”
