A Montana woman has been charged with the murder of her husband after she confessed to pushing him off a cliff in the Loop Trail area of Glacier National Park. The couple, who had been married a week earlier, were reportedly arguing when the incident took place on July 7.

Jordan Linn Graham, 22, initially reported to the police that she last saw her husband Cody Lee Johnson, 25, leaving the house with friends. Several days later, she reported to police that she had found his dead body in the park. When asked how she knew where to look, she told officers “It was a place he wanted to see before he died.” She later admitted to pushing her husband off a cliff and was charged with second-degree murder.

In the affidavit the event is describe as follows:

Graham turned and began to walk away. She stated Johnson grabbed her by the arm. Graham turned and removed Johnson’s hand from her arm. After removing Johnson’s hand from her arm, Graham stated she could have just walked away, but due to her anger, she pushed Johnson with both hands in the back and as a result, he fell face first off the cliff.

According to reports, Graham had admitted to at least one friend that she was having second thoughts about the marriage.
