Vail Resorts Sees Increase In Skier Visits

By

Despite the subpar snow year for many resorts across the United States Vail Resorts saw a 5.5% rise in skier visits compared to the 2011/2012 season.

Vail Resorts include: Vail, Breckenridge, Beaver Creek, and Keystone (in Colorado) Heavenly, Northstar and Kirkwood (in California) Afton Alps in Minnesota and Mt. Brighton in Michigan but they are not included in the released figures.

By The Numbers

  • Income from lift ticket sales rose 10.2%
  • Revenue from restaurants rose by 13.1%.
  • Rental was up 8.9%
  • Revenue from snowsports schools increased by 11.1%

*These figures might rise slightly thanks heavy snowfall in Colorado which allowed Vail and Breckenridge re-opened last weekend.
