The West sees several teaser storms this week. The Tetons might do well on Wednesday AM through Thursday (5-10).  Northern Colorado will see snow with lighter amounts midweek (3-7).  Most moisture drops into the UT/Idaho Border  by Thursday (teaser storm might be good forPomerelle Ski Area near Pocatello). The Wasatch will get light leftovers by Thursday and Friday.

The better news is a moderate system that drops down from interior BC on Sunday providing moderate amounts for the Idaho mountains and eventually the Tetons Mid Sunday into Monday.  This will be over Colorado on Monday night with models showing moderate DUMPAGE from Steamboat through Winter Park and Summit County. Colorado might fare better than the Utah with light to moderate amounts building early next week. Not epic but decent.  Keep reading!

Next week could get epic as an even stronger system moves into the Cascades on Monday night transversing into the Sierra and Wasatch by Tuesday and Wednesday.  amounts might hit alert criteria in the Rockies, especially Wednesday morning in the Tetons and Wasatch. Colorado will see heavier snow late Wednesday into Thursday. This will be followed by another strong system for the following weekend! The pattern is changing for the better so get ready to chase especially mid to late next week!
