Garrett McNamara may have just set the world record of the biggest wave ever surfed. Yesterday, Nazaré, Portugal was hit by a massiv north-west swell with a breeze of south-east making for perfect conditions to break the Guinness World Record for the worlds largest wave ever surfed.
In order to set the World Record, which was also set at Nazaré, McNamara would need to top 78 feet (23,7 meters). Initial reports say McNamara successfully surfed a 100 footer yesterday.
