ROCKIES: Highlights are 17 inches at Wolf Creek, 14 at Silverton, 12 inches at Tellurideand 7 atTaos as storm #1 exits the Rockies awaiting the 2nd round of powder that will occur tonight.  Snow also extended into the central mountains in the 3-6 range in many spots (6-Aspen, Beaver Creek-4).  Snow density remained heavy until temps dropped around 3AM.  Snow densities will be falling with storm #2 due tongiht!

The next storm system is now centered over central Idaho with a strong cold front that will bring several hours of 2-3 inch per hour snowfall to the Northern and Southern Wasatch (6PM to 11PM) as well as the Tetons (6-10).  Snow will continue over the Southern Wasatch favored by NW flow (Little Cottonwood Canyon) through the morning on Monday (8-15 inches).   The San Juan’s will see another round of 8-12 inches primarily after midnight tonight through Monday PM.   The Central Mountains (Monarch) will see moderate snow by Monday PM and late Monday night.  The cold front races through Wyoming and Utah Monday and begins to impact the northern Colorado mountains by late in the day so expect some snow around Steamboat, AspenSnowmassCopper, by Tuesday morning (3-7 Aspen, 3-6 Steamboat, 2-6 along I-70).

Good news continues as another system moves into the Wasatch under warmer air Monday night into Tuesday (Additional 5-10 inches).   The flow turns NW on Wednesday bringing steady light to occasionally moderate snow and colder temps to most of northern Colorado.  Vail, Beaver Creek, and Steamboat will finally add some snowpack (6-10 likely over Wednesday AM /Thursday PM-highest elevations). The Wasatch, Tetons, southern Montana will also see light to moderate snowfall during the same time period (Wednesday-Thursday).

NORTHWEST:  8 inches of very low density powder fell over Mount Baker last night with lighter amounts overStevens and Crystal.   Moderate snow will impact those regions tonight through Monday (6-8) with heavier snow likely Monday night into Tuesday (8-11 with southern Cascades favored). Snow levels will be very low through Monday (2,000 feet) and rise to nearly 4,000 by Tuesday morning.   Total 3 day accumulations will be in the 12-18 inch range by Wednesday AM.
