from our friends at Homewood Ski Resort:
All of Tahoe’s West Shore experienced a power interruption from about 1 a.m. yesterday morning until late this afternoon; and Homewood was unable to open. With power now restored, the mountain will open with all lifts and all terrain tomorrow.
Because it didn’t open today, Homewood’s entire mountain is covered in perfect, untouched pow. With tonight’s temperatures forecast to be cold, the snow may dry out even further, and tomorrow may be a day for the record books with bluebird skies, blower snow, and wall-to-wall fresh snow.
Today, Homewood had planned to offer $25 lift tickets to all 2011/2012 other-resort season pass holders; and has pushed the offer to Monday, April 2 as a make-up.
IN SUMMARY:
April 2 + $25 tix + powder + power = an amazing day at Homewood
Homewood’s West Shore Café (right across the street from the lifts and also affected by today’s power situation) offers West Shore Mondays: half off the entire menu and select libations from 5pm until close. Amazing place, right on the lake, for a big giant burger and a beer.
