Josh Dueck, the inspirational B.C. skier who became the first person to perform a backflip on snow in a sit ski earlier this month, appeared on Ellen this morning. In 2004 Dueck broke his back in a ski accident that left him a full paraplegic. Josh Dueck however, only sees this as a minor inconvenience and has gone on to kick ass in a sit ski. Evidence of this is seen in his massive first sit ski backflip. Dueck’s accomplishment caught the eye of Ellen DeGeneres and mainstream media, leading to the above clip from ELLEN this morning. I still am in awe over how huge that backflip was; I’d say first non-competition Sickbird nomination quality for sure.
