The City of Juneau, Alaska has something your town probably doesn’t. A Community owned Ski Area. Chris Hinkley sent us this email highlighting his communities’ ski area.

My friends and I just put together a video documenting our little ski area of Eaglecrest in Juneau, Alaska.  It has some skiing footage from this season and a bunch of interviews of locals in an effort to capture the vibe of our hill.  I am a big fan of UnofficialNetworks and thought that others might want to see our short film.  This film is an example of our larger project to come.  We are kayaking and bicycling down the Pacific Coast from Juneau to Tierra del Fuego, Argentina and trying to make a documentary of awesome communities along the way.  We figured that we should first make a documentary about our own awesome community.  Have a good one,

Thanks for the email and video Chris! We have heard nothing but good things about Eaglecrest! We will need to make a trip there one day.

Good luck with you’re journey.
