Jumpin’ Jeb
Jumpin’ Jeb

Jeb Corliss is quite possibly the most fearless man on Earth.  His addiction to “proximity flying” (where you fly in a wingsuit as close to the ground, trees, building, or cliffs as possible) is thoroughly impressive and proved nearly deadly.

Check out how close to the ground Jeb is comfortable flying in this video at 1:36

On January 16th, 2012 Jeb was flying off Table Mountain in South Africa when he got so close to the ground that he accidentally touched down while flying full speed.  We still don’t know his exact injuries, but they are certainly a variation of one to two broken legs.

Look how close Jeb got to the ground the day before his accident

Here is a look at his crash.

Jan. 18th, 2012:  “Thank you every one for the well wishes 🙂 I am fine and relatively unhurt. Thank you to all the people that helped in my rescue and continue to help me in the hospital 🙂 It’s going to be a rough next couple months but I guess I am getting a forced 8 week vacation 🙂 I will try to make the best of it :)” – Jeb Corliss facebook page
