The Salomon crew spent the past couple weeks in Hakuba working on a new episode for Freeski TV. The group consisted of Mike Douglas, Cody Townsend, Tatsuya Tayagaki, Mattias Fredriksson, Jeff Thomas, and Les Anthony. They got plenty of deep snow, but didn't get the chance to ride the bigger lines around here (somewhat typical for a shorter trip in January). Its looking like it will be a solid episode. One of our local riders, Ian Millar, spent a few days showing them around the local resorts. He did a nice writeup with photos on their trip. His article not only summarizes Salomon’s trip, but also offers some honest insights into Hakuba as a town and ski destination. The article includes some great photos taken by Ian and Mattias Fredriksson. It’s posted on the Fstop Gear website, and definitely worth a read.

You’ll have to wait till next season to see the Salomon Freeski TV episode, but you can get a taste with Ian’s photos and writeup now.
