Hestra Gloves

Hestra Gloves

Every part of your ski gear is important, especially your gloves. If your hands get too cold you can’t hold your poles, give high fives to your friends or even crack open a fresh PBR at the end of the day. The Hestra Vertical Cuff gloves are by far the best pair of hand protection that I have ever owned. They cost a pretty penny, but I promise you that you will not be disappointed at all. Plus they have a lifetime warranty, so as long as you don’t lose them you can get them repaired or replaced by Hestra for years and years.

I first started using these gloves last season when I found an old pair of them in my garage. (Thanks Joey Smallwood) They were probably 7 years old and had a few holes in them. After two days I was convinced that they were better than any brand new, hole-free gloves I had ever owned. Eventually I had to return the gloves to their rightful owner and buy my own pair. The combination of dexterity and warmth in these babies is unmatched in the glove universe. They feel like they are made to grip a pole, or a beer can, or whatever else you might want to hold while in a cold place. They also have some padding located on the back on the fingers and hand that will give you a little protection if you are bashing gates, or rocks, or trees with your fists of fury.

The Hestra Vertical Cuff Glove now come in a number of cool colors, so if you want to get all skittle style with your manos you can.  Sizing is a little strange so try them on in a store before you buy online. I have medium-smallish hands for a dude and wear a size 8. One feature that they lack is a sweet wrist straps, but they do have the attachment point for them so you could easily add them yourself later it you want. I guarantee you if you spend the coin on these gloves you will be stoked.
