Early Season Struggles : Telluride Terrain Report – 11/29/11

Unofficial Telluride - 11/29/11

Being out of town for the Holidays, today was my first day skiing at the resort for the season. I guess not much has changed since our opening day report with warm temps, clear skies, and no new snowfall since opening. Today was a beautiful sunny day with temps reaching into the 40s and started feeling like spring in the afternoon.

Chair 4 is still the only chairlift open with pretty much one way down, Misty Maiden. There are a few options along the way including a mini park to get your jib-on. This is fun for a few laps to get the kinks out but gets old pretty quick, especially with the amount of people on the trail at times. It is definitely a bit scary out there and certainly dangerous, so stay defensive and be safe. Don’t want to end your season before it starts!

The forecast is looking up with a chance of snow Wednesday night into the weekend, hopefully it rolls in thick!
