Last season WME was here at Squaw shooting for their latest film “Like There’s no Tomorrow.” The Squaw segment (which many of you have seen in part or in whole) features local rippers JT Holmes, Timy Dutton, Michelle Parker, and Mike Wilson, as well as Jonny Moseley and his protege Jack Moseley (that kid is gonna be a good skier..). This new promo has some familiar visuals.

It looks like KSL purchased the rights to WME’s footage from Squaw and hired the Tahoe based production company Shreddy Times to edit this promotional segment for the resort. This promo definitely has a more ripping feel than the Warren Miller segment which was posted here earlier. We get to see Wilson charging McConkey’s and Timy Dutton skiing lines in the Chimney.

I gotta say, I’m a bit surprised. I don’t see any beginner terrain in the clip, no shots of personnel or customer service. They’re certainly not advertising a new restaurant. Granted, they didn’t including any BN’s in the clip, but it would appear that Squaw is making an effort here to tie its image to some rad skiing and local riders.

What do you think? Is it encouraging to see Squaw promoting the resort for it’s roots in skiing?

Food for thought. The new Squaw logo does resemble a shield… “Talk amongst yourselves.”
