I think we’re all still reeling from Jamie Pierre’s accident yesterday. It’s hard to comprehend one of our most resilient and perennial big pros going down in an avalanche in early November. It just doesn’t seem real.
I was lucky enough to ski with Jamie in Utah a few years ago for a coupla days. The guy was constantly smiling and was damn fun to ski with. And, needless to say, he was sending it bigger than anyone around and making the rest of us (and there were some of “the boys” there) look bad.
This video put together by Warren Miller allows us to reflect on what Jamie was always after: good times in good snow.
Thanks for the amazing ride, Jamie. We’ll miss you out there.
