Thai Me Up Restaurant and Brewery might be my favorite, reasonably priced, eatery in Jackson. The food and atmosphere are amazing, and it’s centrally located in town. Plus, they have a rotating tap list, featuring their own, hand crafted beers as well as a selection of other regionally brewed beers.
As far as the menu goes, it’s traditional Thai cuisine, with a couple of variations. Conveniently, you can control how spicy most dishes are prepared, on a scale from 1-5. I’ll just say, you’re pretty crazy if you as for a 5. There’s few non-traditional options as well- I’d recommend the G-13 and the wings in particular.
Beyond what you’d expect from a Thai restaurant- and what really distinguishes Thai Me Up from other Jackson Thai establishments, is there brewery. While you wouldn’t expect a Thai restaurant to have a respectable brewery, this place definitely does. Their unique, hand crafted beers are flavorful and distinct. Thus, even if you’re not hungry, this makes Thai Me Up a solid place to just hang out. Plus, they have happy hour from 5-7 and 9-Midnight, with a $6 curry that might be the best dinner deal in town. So, if you’re looking for good food or just some tasty beers, be sure not to miss Thai Me Up.
