After one of the deepest, lightest, lift accessed pow days ever recorded at Las Lenas, it’s a given that you’ll be up and hiking for more of those luscious powder turns the next day. Entre Rios served as a perfect option to satisfy the lust for pow…so long as you disregard the heinous, sustained, 60+ mph wind that was shredding across the top of the peak. Blue skies and a not so common east wind that was cold, fierce, and down right magnificent made for an interesting ski day.
Skiing remained quite nice in and around Las Lenas. Despite being the biggest 3 day weekend of winter, the resort still harbored a generous amount of soft turns to be had. People also began the pilgrimage into the wild unknown of the Las Lenas backcountry, but with over 40,000 acres to play with, there were plenty of places suspiciously lacking in tracks. Check back next time for some long lines and soft snow!!
