The photos of the week this week come from a biking trip to the Bryce National Park area this spring. Bryce is one of my favorite National Parks and is definitely number one for scenery. Located a quick 4.5 hours drive from the SLC I recommend checking it out if you have not already.
The reason for the trip was to check out some trails that my buddy Jason France had read about on the internet. The trails were beautiful as far a scenery goes, but not all that fun to ride. There was a ton of hill climbing on a supposed downhill trail which was a bit of a disappointment and the trail is also horse friendly. That meant that there were tons of deep hoof prints in all the areas that had been muddy earlier in the season. That made for a rough ride in some spots. This was not one of those spots.
There are loads of good hikes to do in Bryce. Check out this wiggly little guy. Check out the Under the Rim Trail for a really cool two day backpacking trip.
Why no helmet? I don’t know… Maybe because it was a hour of uphill before we got to this sweet spot.
To sum it all up: Great Views, Not so great biking on the Thunder Mountain Trail.
