Another beautiful summer week in Jackson.  The weather looks great, and there are plenty of things to keep us all occupied and entertained.  If you can find time away from all of the outdoor activities that take over the valley throughout the short summer, here are other options.

Music on Main City Park, Victor Thursday 6pm

Anders Osborne and Benyaro will be rocking out for  anyone that finds themselves in Victor tonight.  Music on Main is one of the better music events happening in the summer, and it is recommended not to miss it.  There is always a great turnout, and the best thing, it is free. It all kicks off around 6pm and there are vendors to get your tasty food and booze.

Silent Comedy, and Saint Motel Town Square Tavern Saturday 9pm

This could be a good one to brave the crowds at Town Square Tavern and check out this show.  Both these bands put out some good music and could be fun to see live.  Just keep your dancing tight.  If you run into the wrong person, some punches may be thrown.  It is only 10 bucks to see both these bands.

44th Annual Chicken Fry Stilson Parking Lot Sunday 12-no food

Looks like it may be one of the hottest days in summer for the chicken fry again.  Not much more refreshing than stuffing yourself with fried food in 90 degree heat.  But, this is a great outing.   All the proceeds go to the Wilson volunteer fire department, most of town is there, and the chicken is damn good.  I am not a big fan of fried chicken, but the wilson fire department knows how to do it.  It cost $10 for more than you can eat, and there is plenty of shade in the area to keep cool.

The Congress Teton Village Sunday 4pm

More free music to see this weekend.  After filling your face at the chicken fry, what better way to relax than listening to some rock at the base of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort.  This is the second week that the village has offered free music in the Commons.  It is a chill scene out there with kids dancing around the water streams and plenty of space to sit back and enjoy the band.  While out there, might as well get a round of disc golf or a couple laps through the bike park.

Steve Martin and the Steep Canyon Rangers Center for the Arts Sunday 8pm

It is pretty hard not to like Steve Martin after seeing him save that village in Three Amigos.  He has separated from the trio and is now taking that flair on the road with the Steep Canyon Rangers. This show is expensive and sold out right now, but would be a great show to try and find seats.  I am sure it would be very entertaining and provide some great music.

Teton County Fair Teton County Fair Grounds Sunday 24th-Monday 1st

It is time for the fair again!  Most of the big events are happening next week, but the rides will be here.  For a look at the schedule and prices, go to tetoncountyfair.com.  Be sure not to miss the figure 8’s  Who knows when the town will take that one away from us.
