A while back we posted an article detailing Alex Honnold’s ascent of the Phoenix.  The above video details his free solo ascent of Moonlight Buttress and really puts the magnitude of the feat into perspective.  Now I am certainly no climber, but climbing such a face even with ropes and all the proper safety equipment gives me shivers down the spine.  Yet Alex pushes on and up, free of rope, helmet, or any other safety equipment, in a chillingly calm and controlled manner.  To say he is all focus just might be the understatement of the day, if not decade.

Update:

“This guy is a F$%king Ninja!  How can you have this level of focus?  You can’t.  Mind blown.”
