Alex Prochaz aka: Alex Pro is a local professional mountain biker and aspiring professional skier who might lose sponsorship from: Target, Red Bull, Oakley, Commencal, Fox Racing, Shimano and SDG, after photos were posted online of him taking part in Wednesday’s Riot… and wearing an Oakley Shirt.

Alex is from Whistler and Kills it at biking and skiing. However on Wednesday he (along with 50,000) other people made some poor choices

I first saw the pictures of Alex on the Vancouver riot Facebook Page. Below his photo are hundreds of comments and  there’s a video of him.  There is a lot of discourse on the Facebook page. Then I checked out the Oakley Canada facebook page and it’s filled with comments about Alexs’ actions.

DO YOU THINK ALEX SHOULD LOSE HIS SPONSORS?

MSNBC said:

“…a prominent pro mountain biker from Whistler, B.C. who, among other laurels, is the only biker outside the U.S. to have a sponsorship with Target retail stores. Well, make that did have a sponsorship with Target”

Alex Said:

“Hello everybody. By now you’ve all seen the photo of me taken last night. I want to assure you that I had nothing to do with the arson of the car. Regardless I showed extremely poor judgement posing with it and involving myself that way. I feel very ashamed and want to appologize to my family, friends and supporters for this embarassment. This is not how i want to be remembered.”

Oakley Said:

“We are currently reviewing our relationship with Alex Pro & will be taking actions to see that Alex becomes aware that we do not accept behavior like this from any of our athletes or spokesperson(s).”

WE WANT TO HEAR YOUR THOUGHTS. Should, in addition to being penalized by the police, he also lose his sponsors?
