NOAA Forecast for Telluride

The week ahead is action-packed with some of Telluride’s culinary attractions coming back on the scene with the return of the Farmer’s Market and the re-opening of Pescado as well as LOTS of live music! The highlight of this is obviously the start of next weekend’s highly anticipated Bluegrass Festival on Thursday. Look for more info on the Bluegrass festival as next weekend approaches. Let’s hope for warm weather and clear skies!

Friday, June 10th – 1st Telluride Farmer’s Market of the season. 11am – 4pm on Oak Street. AWESOME!!!!

Friday, June 10th – Re-opening of Pescado for the summer season. Telluride’s favorite Sushi spot opens after being closed for the off season. Get your raw fish fix on! Check out our review of Pescado HERE.

Friday, June 10th – Wild West Fest Benefit Concert w/Langhorne Slim @ The Sheridan Opera House. 8pm. $23 GA. “This alternative country rock and bluegrass band touch on the heart and soul of Americana, the reality of Folk and the yee- haw boogie of a traditional barn ho-down.” Langhorneslim.com

Saturday, June 11th – Telluride Heritage Festival. All Day enjoy live music and horse drawn carriage rides and learn about mining, ranching and the Ute Indian Tribe. 12pm – Wild West Variety Show and Traditional Ute Dancers in Elks Park.

Tuesday, June 14th – Lawn Chair Classics presents This Is Spinal Tap. FREE outdoor film in the Mountain Village Conference Center Plaza. Film starts at dusk. Conference Center concessions will be open during the screening.I hope they turn it up to 11!

Wednesday, June 15th – 3rd Annual Firstgrass Concert in Mountain Village. Free concert in Sunset Plaza with Sarah Jarosz and Cornmeal @ 5pm followed by the Sold Out, 10th Annual Bluegrass Kickoff Party with Yonder Mountain String Band at the Conference Center.

Wednesday, June 15th – Paper Bird @ The Llama. 10pm. $5. Denver based, 8-piece folk/americana band. Check out the band’s MySpace page.

Thursday, June 16th – 1st Day of the 38th Annual Telluride Bluegrass Festival. Gates open at 10am! Headliners for the first night are Sarah McLachlan from 7-8:30 followed by the Telluride House Band featuring Sam Bush, Bela Fleck, Jerry Douglas, Edgar Meyer, Bryan Sutton, and Stuart Duncan.
