Video by Squaw Ripper Paul Mariottini
Last week, we put up an account from our friend Nat Mildner about the Cable Car Malfunction on a day that had 100mph ridgetop winds at Squaw in the end of March. It was scary and eye opening, especially since it happened in the exact same spot as the the 1978 Cable Car disaster in 1978 where 4 people died at Squaw. We’ll have a post up about that day in 1978 tomorrow.
This week, we’ve got a video of the account. What’s freaky is seeing how bloodthirsty the winds were after they got off the Tram. It seems like it was a REALLY BAD CALL to have it open at all that day. Whattayouthink?
