This is a pretty cool idea and Kirkwood is a pretty sweet mountain. I skied there for two seasons in college as well as my first full winter in Tahoe. The place is legit and now you’ve got a reason to go check it out…for free.
Kirkwood got over 61 feet of snow this winter and I’m guessing that it’s still looking fat down there. Heart Chute, Once is Enough, and the famous “Cirque” are some of the gnarly zones down there that you should ask about and throw and eyeball on while cruising the ‘Wood.
Kirkwood’s last day of operation this season is May 1st. So get down there and take advantage of this before then.
